About the Artist

She is barefoot in the mud, touching plants, collecting images. She prefers to work in ballpoint pen for the permanence, and the impact of each stroke, but also enjoys the softness of graphite.

The images which she lays to paper are deeply introspective and often surreal, expressing vague, formless, and yet all-consuming emotions that cannot be encapsulated with words. Often, this is expressed in surreal portraits, focusing on emotional epicenters such as the eyes, head, and heart. The most revisited themes are introspection, loss, longing, and resilience.
